In November of 2004, Kentech Controls LLC purchased the right of first use of the RAM™ and RIM-5 trade names, and the exclusive rights to sell and manufacture the well known RAM™ and RIM-5 Alarm modules. These products were popularized by the Goldline Controls™ division of Independent Energy since the late 1970's. Appearing in numerous specifications, the RAM™ and RIM-5 had become a staple in the HVAC controls market. When that company changed its course and decided to exit the HVAC controls industry, Kentech Controls was founded specifically to continue the tradition of excellence and fulfill the market needs for these products.

In November of 2007, Kentech obtained a federal trademark registration for the RAM™ name in accordance with its use as an electrical controller module for use as an alarm in conjunction with Heating, Ventilation and Air conditioning related equipment.

September of 2008 marked another milestone when Kentech released the 4th generation of RAM™ alarms with new and improved features that outclass its competition. The RAM™ and RIM-5 alarm modules continue to be distributed worldwide across many industries in increasing numbers. They are available through wholesale HVAC controls and alarm distribution as well as original equipment manufacturers.

In the future, Kentech Controls intends to provide new niche products for the HVAC, Electrical and Security industries and expand its distribution network in each industry. Kentech continues to manufacture in the United States and strives to protect the environment by utilizing ecologically friendly manufacturing processes.
